Ice skating duo Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean have received a damehood and knighthood respectively in the New Year Honours list. Ice skaters Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean, who won gold at the 1984 Winter Olympics, have have been recognised for their services to ice skating and voluntary service.
