Planet Ice Celebrates 30th Birthday by Rolling Back Skating Prices to 1996


Planet Ice is celebrating 30 years on the ice this September, with 30 days of giveaways, special birthday offers, and a four day return to 1996 prices.

Over the last 30 years, Planet Ice has been part of millions of memories - from first steps on the ice and family days out to Friday night discos, ice hockey matches, lifelong friendships, and even weddings on ice.

Founded in 1996, the brand has grown from its first rink in Birmingham, to become the UK's largest ice leisure operator, welcoming millions of skaters, families, and ice hockey fans through its doors over the past three decades.

The highlight of the celebrations will take place from the 17th to the 20th of September, when Planet Ice will turn back the clock and roll admission prices back to just £5, reflecting the price of skating when the brand launched in 1996. Book Online: go.planet-ice.co.uk/5-tickets-news

The anniversary year will culminate in a major celebration this December with Music & Magic On Ice, a spectacular live entertainment experience forming part of Planet Ice's 30th birthday celebrations. The shows will be live at Planet Ice Milton Keynes on December 5th and Planet Ice Bristol on December 12th, 2026.

Music & Magic On Ice is the ultimate finale to Planet Ice's landmark year. Visitors will experience a spectacular fusion of live music from Boyzlife (featuring members of Westlife & Boyzone) and Quill (featuring ELO's Bev Bevan), alongside Dancing on Ice stars, breathtaking aerobatics, and much more!

The journey is far from over. The brand continues to grow, with two brand new ice rinks set to open at Trafford City and Dudley, marking the beginning of an exciting new chapter.

With new venues on the horizon, a month packed with birthday celebrations, and Music & Magic On Ice bringing the anniversary year to a spectacular close this December, Planet Ice is celebrating 30 years of memories while looking ahead to the future.
