Toby has officially hung up his ice hockey coaching boots!

Originally from Sweden, where he played ice hockey as a young man, Toby embarked on a new coaching journey after retiring from his engineering career. Inspired by supporting his grandsons on their ice hockey journey, he achieved his Level 2 Coaching qualification and generously volunteered with MK Storm Juniors, whilst also becoming a Lead Coach within Hemel's Hockey Excellence Programme.

Over the years, Toby has coached hundreds of children and adults, embracing every opportunity to develop players and share his passion for the sport. Through his guidance and commitment, Hemel's Hockey Excellence Programme has grown into the most successful hockey excellence programme across the entire Planet Ice group. His influence has helped players progress into recreational hockey, elite development programmes and even represent Great Britain on the international stage.

Toby's passion, dedication, patience and encouragement have left a lasting impact on hundreds of players and families. His contribution to the sport and the development of hockey within Planet Ice has created a legacy that will continue for many years to come.

Thank you, Toby, for everything you have contributed to ice hockey and for the countless players whose lives you have helped shape.

At 82 years young, retiring from coaching is a truly remarkable milestone. Enjoy every minute of your well-deserved retirement, Toby. You've certainly earned it!
