Planet Ice Altrincham Celebrates Four Medal Wins at Blackburn Cup

It was a fantastic start to the competitive season for Planet Ice Altrincham's synchronised skating teams, with all four teams securing podium finishes at the Blackburn Cup.

The competition saw an impressive display of talent, teamwork and dedication from Altrincham's skaters, with every team returning home with a medal, including two first-place finishes.

The teams achieved outstanding results across four categories:

🥇 Bladerunners (Adults): 1st Place
🥇 Whizz Kids (Senior B): 1st Place
🥈 Twizzles (Mixed Age): 2nd Place
🥉 Rockers (Beginners): 3rd Place

The Blackburn Cup also marked an exciting milestone for three of the teams, with Rockers, Twizzles and Whizz Kids debuting their brand-new programmes, costumes and music for the first time this season.

For Rockers, the competition was particularly special as the beginner team made their competitive debut, securing an impressive third-place finish.

The success reflects the hard work, commitment and countless hours of training put in by the skaters, alongside the dedication and support of their coaches, Sam, Hollie and Tabs.

With such a successful opening competition, the teams are now looking ahead to their next challenge, the Trophy d'Ecosse in Dumfries this December, where they hope to build on their fantastic start to the season.

Everyone at Planet Ice would like to congratulate all four teams and their coaches on their incredible achievements. We wish them the very best of luck as they continue their competitive season!
