These dedicated sessions are available in durations of 30, 45, or 60 minutes, providing an exclusive environment for skaters to engage in focused practice away from the bustling public skate areas.
With the number of participants strictly limited, skaters have the unique opportunity to refine advanced skills such as jumps and spins, which are not permitted during public skates. This makes Patch Ice sessions ideal for those currently taking lessons or anyone serious about improving their skating prowess. Access to these sessions is flexible, available through Patch Membership or via pay-as-you-go bookings, ensuring that dedicated practice time is accessible to all skaters committed to advancing their skills.

Patch Ice sessions are reserved for skaters who have reached Level 5 or higher in Skate Excellence or its equivalent. These sessions, which range from 30 to 60 minutes, provide an exclusive practice environment away from the general public.
To attend Patch, you must be at Level 5 or higher in Skate Excellence lessons or have an equivalent level of skill.
Patch sessions allow you to practice the skills you've learned in lessons, including spins and jumps, which aren't permitted during public skate sessions. They also offer the space to rehearse routines and prepare for competitions.
Patch is available at Planet Ice locations in Altrincham, Basingstoke, Blackburn, Bristol, Gillingham, Gosport, Hemel Hempstead, Leeds, Peterborough, Solihull, Uttoxeter, and Widnes.
