What’s the difference between an ice account and an ice card account?

An ice account is the online account that Planet Ice use to manage all on-line sales whereas an ice card account is the system used for managing your ice card membership.

How old do you have to be to sign up to the ice account?

You must be 13 to sign up to an ice card account. If you are under 13 you can be added to your parents/carers ice card account.

How much does an ice card cost?

The ice card is part of a membership which is priced at £19.99.

Does the ice card give me discounts?

The price members pay for public skating and most educational programmes is cheaper than the price non-members pay. Additionally if you have the Ice Card Go>> membership you are able to access discounts from our partners subject to availability.

What happens with my data?

Can I sign up when I arrive?

No, you need to sign up online.

Do I have to have a registered ice card to be able to buy and use one of your online offers?

No however some offers may be exclusive to ice card members.

Do I have to pay for my children to have an account of their own?

Yes, all ice card members are required to pay the relevant membership fee.

I do not want my child to have their own account but it will be them using the discount for a course, can they use my card?

No. They will have to have membership in their own name but linked to your membership card for Data Protection.

How long does the card last for?

Membership is annual, so it lasts for a year

Does the ice card give me discounts off food and drink?

Only if there is a offer to ice card Members at your local rink.

Why do you need my personal details? Who does it get shared with?

Can I have an account for my whole family?

Each person 13 or over must have their own membership in order to benefit from membership. If someone is under 13 then their membership must be part of a parents/guardians membership to ensure we comply with Data Protection Act.

Will they receive emails with the latest news & promotions?

Only if you have chosen to do so and can opt out at any time.

How many children can be added to the ice account under one adult

Five.

How long does it take to set up?

Less than 5 minutes

Can I use my ice card for promotions?

Only if they are promotions specifically aimed at members.

Can friends use my ice card?

No, they need to sign up themselves.

Can I pay for my ice card online through my ice account?

Yes.

Why do I need to provide a photograph?

So we can ensure that the person using the card is the member.

I am having issues signing up, who can I contact to help resolve the issues I am having?

You can contact your local rink on their email.

Can a membership be used for more than one skater?

No. All skaters need to have their own membership.

Will I get confirmation when my ice card is out of date/ needs renewing?
