Planet-Ice had a wonderful day of ice-skating celebrations across their 14 rinks. We hosted over 250 free school places on our Skate Excellence Learn to Skate programme. Fun was had by everyone; the free lessons were followed by access to the public skate session where children had an opportunity to skate with Santa.

Some rinks hosted celebrities such as Alex Murphy and Joe Swash previous ITV’s Dancing on Ice champions who joined in on the fun at Hemel Hempstead.

Planet-Ice Uttoxeter Adult Show & Skate group entered the Inclusive Skating virtual world competition on the day and were crowned winners with their performance.

Other rinks performed extracts from their Christmas Show during hockey games in the evening.

The online family skate promotion was well received with over 200 families taking up the skating offer on the day.
