Planet Ice is looking for a motivated and experienced leisure manager to operate a well established ice rink in Coventry. The site aims to provide the best ice skating and ice leisure experience through a team that is passionate and committed to delivering a high-quality and entertaining visit for all our customers.

To be responsible for the smooth and efficient day-to-day management of the unit, ensuring the company’s Brand Standards and Values are maintained at all times and ensuring all legal requirements are complied with in accordance with all Legislation and Company policies.

Reporting initially to Deputy Chief Operetions Manager, in colabaration with Senior Leadership team, headed by a Chief Operations Officer, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operation of the ice rink and management staff. The successful applicant will be an enthusiastic, self-motivated proactive individual who has a minimum of three years of management experience within a fast-paced leisure environment, knowledge of the ice industry is preferred but not essential.

You will be responsible for identifying required staffing levels, recruitment of quality staff, induction, and ensuring that appropriate training is delivered to all management and staff within the Unit. You will be required to maintain a highly motivated team for day-to-day public skating, ice hockey events, and a bar and cafe provision.

We are looking for a part time receptionist to join our front of house team.

You will need to be professional in your approach when dealing with telephone and email enquiries with good customer service skills and confident IT skills. Overview
Working as a Team Member, you will be part of the overall kitchen team, making sure that our customers always have fantastic customer service

Duties & Responsibilities

  1. Carrying out food preparation
  2. Being up to date with product knowledge and marketing initiatives
  3. Using the computer system to take orders
  4. You may be asked to operate another food or drink outlet within the facility at Ice Hockey or other events
  5. General cleaning duties with the kitchen and seating areas
  6. Ensure that tables are cleared, wiped down and bins emptied when required
  7. You will assist with safe evacuation of the Bar and Kitchen in the event of an emergency evacuation
  8. You will make sure that you attend your shift at all times in a well presented manner and wear the company uniform (if issued) while on duty
  9. You must attend all staff training session if scheduled
  10. You will help assist with any specific daily or weekly check sheets
  11. You will be responsible for making sure the kitchen is fully stocked prior to opening. You must also inform the duty manager if you are low on stock and require an order to be placed
  12. You will be able to work unsociable hours and have an ability to work flexible shift patterns e.g. morning shift, evening shift, weekends

As part of a Team Members role you will need to make sure that the store and equipment are cleaned to a high standard at all times and maintain food hygiene and health and safety standards to ensure the safety of all customers, yourself and other team members.

  5. Resurfacing the ice as abs when needed.

  17. Reliability is a must, so excellent timekeeping and attendance record is essential. We’re looking for outgoing people who are confident in dealing with a huge spectrum of customers, while remaining professional and brand-aware.

All relevant training will be supplied to the successful candidate.
