Planet Ice Bristol is preparing to launch in the Autumn of 2021, and we are looking for an experienced Food and Beverages Manager to join our team!

The Food and Beverages Manager will be responsible for leading the team within the department and the smooth running of the Food and Beverage operation. This role will also include Duty Management/ Keyholder responsibilities when required by the business.

Key Role Responsibilities

  • Direct responsibility for the running of the Food and Beverage Operation
  • Implementing company policies and procedures as well as adhering to Health and Safety Legislation, including COSHH and manual handling
  • Ensure the department always upholds the highest possible standards of cleanliness, and that equipment is always maintained in good working order

The core of this role is providing a safe and enjoyable experience for our visitors. We are looking for people to join our Skate Hire and Ice Marshall team who are passionate about both the ice industry and delivering excellent experiences.

Key Role Responsibilities;

  • Providing an excellent visitor experience
  • To have a good knowledge of all of the Planet Ice products on offer
  • Making sure that skate hire is open and ready for business as and when required.
  • Handing out hire skates to our customers, and assisting with sizing questions as and when required.
  • Ensuring that all skates are checked regularly and that any defects are put to one side and a note given to the duty manager at the end of each shift.
  • Responsible for general cleaning duties during your shifts
  • In the event of an emergency and the building being evacuated, you will assist with clearing your area.

Overview
As a receptionist you are the first point of contact for all customers and visitors of Planet Ice. You will provide a professional and efficient service. You will also be required to wear the correct uniform, looking presentable at all times.

Duties & Responsibilities

1. Dealing with all customer queries in relation to Planet Ice both in person and via telephone/email.
2. Any problems/faults in regard to health and safety must immediately reported to your supervisor.
3. Operating tills – Handling cash, cheques, PDQ machine.
4. Attendance to staff training sessions is imperative.
5. Full knowledge of information being delivered i.e., prices, opening times, lessons, parties and special promotions.
6. To answer all telephone calls in a polite and friendly manner assisting with any queries and responding to messages.
7. To accurately handle cash, cheque and credit card transaction.
8. Receive and sign out the floats, prepare the tills and complete all checks prior to opening.
9. To assist in controlling the customers upon entry into the facility, ensuring that all health & safety recommendations are adhered to.
10. Responding to customer emails as and when required.
11. To take group bookings, party and lesson bookings, ensure all confirmation/deposits are complete.
12. To maintain the highest possible standards of personal hygiene and appearance.
13. To attain, record and safety store away any lost property found or lost within Planet Ice.
14. To assist with paperwork or administration required. i.e., databases etc
15. Ensure the reception area is clean and tidy at all times.
16. Inform management of any customer issues/complaints.
17. Completed tasks include opening and closing check sheets.

Pay will be the national minimum wage on an hourly contract.
