Planet Ice Gillingham are looking for an experienced Duty Manager Overseeing Food and Beverages to join our team!
The Food and Beverages Manager will be responsible for leading the team within the department and the smooth running of the Food and Beverage operation. This role will also include Duty Management/ Keyholder responsibilities when required by the business.
Your duties and responsibilities are as follows:
-Direct responsibility for the running of the Food and Beverage Operation
-Implementing company policies and procedures as well as adhering to Health and Safety Legislation, including COSHH and manual handling
-Ensure the department always upholds the highest possible standards of cleanliness, and that equipment is always maintained in good working order
-Carry out regular training with the F&B team to ensure skills and knowledge are kept up to date
-Working alongside the General Manager to focus on team development and carry out performance reviews
-To ensure staff are always aware of the level of stock in the department and that this is managed effectively and efficiently, whilst making sure stock is also rotated correctly.
-Carry out a weekly analysis and ensure all paperwork is completed on time
-To complete audits of the department
-To ensure staff rotas are accurate to meet the needs of the operation, and to support the recruitment of new team members when required
-Monitor menu items to ensure the correct products are being ordered and find solutions to reduce wastage within F&B
-Bar Specific: line cleans. Carrying out Challenge 25 checks and ensuring the guidelines are being met by the team.
-First Aid when required
Duty Management Responsibilities Overview:
-Opening/ Closing the building as a Key Holder.
-Overseeing the smooth operation of the various departments
-Ensuring the building maintains the highest standards of safety and cleanliness, providing a welcoming environment to our visitors
-To act as an escalation point for your team during complaint and risk management
Who we are looking for:
-A customer-centric, experienced Food and Beverages Manager who has at least two years of Food and Beverage/ Café/ Restaurant Management experience.
-Someone who is enthusiastic about delivering an excellent and efficient service for our customers.
-A team player who can confidently motivate, lead, and support the Food and Beverage team.
-Food Hygiene level 3 certification is desirable
-Personal License Holder is desirable
-First Aid at Work qualification preferred
-The successful candidate will be keen to learn about the ice and events industry and will preferably have their own transport to and from work as the role requires some early mornings, late nights, and regular weekend work. A DBS will be required.
Salary– starting from £19,500
Hours – full time 40 hours
