Inclusive Skating is thrilled to announce the British Open Inclusive Skating Championships 2025! This special additional to our events calendar will be held in partnership with Planet Ice from the 29th of April to the 1st of May 2025. Skaters will compete across all disciplines at the Milton Keynes Planet Ice Rink.
Inclusive Skating has previously collaborated with Planet Ice for Inclusive categories at events throughout the UK, and this event will serve as a natural extension of our organisations’ shared commitment to increasing participation in skating and providing opportunities for skaters with additional needs. Following the Inclusive Skating model, the British Open will welcome skaters with any form of additional needs; the event will also serve as the Special Olympics GB National Championships for 2025 (subject to confirmation). The British Open will follow the guidelines set forth in the Inclusive Skating Technical Handbook and Classification Handbook. For more information about the rules and judging system please visit this link. The event will appear on the ISU calendar and we warmly welcome the participation from international skaters from any country.
The registration deadline is the 1st of March 2025 but we encourage skaters to enter as soon as possible as space is limited. Please visit the Sport 80 Platform to register for Inclusive Skating Membership and to enter the event. We also welcome volunteers to register for Inclusive Skating Membership and to contact event@inclusiveskating.org.
We are excited to welcome you to Milton Keynes! Please stay tuned for more information about this event as well as our other upcoming events, including the Inclusive Skating World Championships 2025 to be held in October 2025.
