Planet Ice Coventry have today announced that they will be donating the proceeds of their popular Christmas Day ice skating session to local charity Zoe’s Place.Arena General Manager Chris Carpenter said “Our Christmas Day skate has always been about finding ways for the venue to give back to the local community. Giving the entire days proceeds to a local charity was something that we immediately decided as the best possible way to put something back in to the City. We’ll be charging £6 per person, which represents amazing value for skaters, and will be giving every penny to Zoe’s Place Baby Hospice. We’ve done some previous fundraising with them and we believe it’s a real privilege for us as a company to be able to raise a large sum of money for such an amazing cause this Christmas.

Jane McGaffney of Zoe’s Place commented: “We are absolutely delighted that Planet Ice Coventry are once again supporting us. As this is a popular event tickets will sell very fast, so get in quickly to book your place. Please take pictures of yourselves skating and send them over to me at jane.mcgaffney@zoes-place.org.uk and we will put them on our Facebook page. We can’t wait to see all those who supported us having a great time on Christmas morning!”

The session takes place at 10am – 12pm on Christmas Day and tickets will be available here from 10am on December 3rd. The skate is part of a wider Christmas schedule at the popular ice rink, which includes a Grotto and Skate With Santa every weekend in December alongside Cinderella On Ice on Tuesday 18th December.
