Planet Ice Coventry Update

Firstly, we want to thank everyone for their patience shown since the postponement of public ice skating, ice skating lessons, and the Coventry Blaze fixture against the Glasgow Clan due to a technical fault with the ice plant.

Unfortunately, we have made the decision this morning despite the best efforts of everyone at Planet Ice, that we will not be in a position to reopen for ice skating & the Coventry Blaze home against Nottingham Panthers on Saturday therefore all activity on Saturday has been canceled.

Whilst there is positive news that the technical fault with the ice plant has been resolved, due to the complete loss of the ice pad last Sunday, despite the Planet Ice team working 24/7, there just isn’t quite enough time to clear the pad of water, get it ready to be able to start rebuilding the ice sheet and to be then to be able to build it up to the point where the ice can be used for ice skating and to withstand the demands of an Elite Ice Hockey league game.

Planet Ice has been doing everything we can to get the work completed but we have accepted this morning that we will not be in a position to open the rink for ice activity.

We apologise to everyone who was looking forward to returning to ice skating or watching Coventry Blaze this coming Saturday.

Customers who have booked Public Ice Skating with us for Saturday and onwards will be contacted later on this afternoon with information regarding their booking.

Further information about new dates and tickets regarding Coventry Blaze will be communicated as soon as they have been confirmed with the other clubs and the SkyDome Arena.

We thank you again for your understanding.

Kind Regards

Planet Ice
